long road today
For the last two years, nearly 1,000 Santa Ana residents have gathered to share their stories and memories. Their words and experiences inspired a powerful and touching new play about community, hope and healing.  A cast and crew of nearly 100 residents from all walks of life will bring the story to life through theatre, music and dance in at Santa Ana’s Civic Center Plaza.

The Long Road Today / El Largo Camino de Hoy

With no park in his neighborhood, young Andrés plays in the street. One day, he chases a stray ball into tragedy. Two families and a community must confront the aftermath and take action to make a change.

Bordering on Love

Company of Angels

A new play by Evangeline Ordaz
Directed by Armando Molina

“Director Armando Molina makes impressively fluid use of the trapezoid units and wardrobe racks of Jessica Wiebel’s scenic design, aided by Cricket S. Myers’ eclectic sound plot, Isabelle Ortega’s costumes, and Don Allen’s campy choreography.” LA TIMES, David C. Nichols

“The shows energy, humor and story match up perfectly with an in your face “Sex in the City” attitude mixed in with some “To Wong Foo: Thank For Everything Julie Newmar” and “Under the Same Moon.” LA EASTSIDE, El Random Hero

Evangeline Ordaz Walks the Borders Between Art and Community – LA STAGE TIMES, Cindy Marie Jenkins

Drag and immigrant experience collide onstage – USC Daily Trojan, Louis Lucero II

Beauty can be a drag… or a path to citizenship. But, is there room for love in this pageant world? Bordering on Love, is new play by Evangeline Ordaz that combines two of our most provocative questions that confront our nation – the definition of marriage and immigration. It’s a platonic love-story dramady with a drag queen chorus.
